Black History Month

A lot of people are waiting for Martin Luther King or Mahatma Ghandi to come back – but they are gone. We are it. It is up to us. It is up to you.

As an agency, Garden Center is committed to recognizing both the valuable contributions made by Black Americans throughout our nations’ history, and also the ongoing need for racial, social, and economic equality.

We are very aware of the many ways that our staff of color promote our mission of advancing the lives of persons with developmental disabilities in so many ways. Especially at this time, given the pain, loss, and division of last year, we hope there will be many celebrations and moments of acknowledgement and healing during this month.

Let’s really commit to taking care of ourselves and one another.

Peace,

Gerry
